II. Use and function

Male plug: Mainly used to be inserted into the socket of the electrical appliance to connect the electrical appliance with the power supply or other equipment, playing the role of conducting current or signal.

Female plug: Mainly used to connect the wire or accept the insertion of the male plug, connecting the wire with the electrical appliance or other equipment, playing the role of fixing the wire and conducting current or signal.

III. Material and durability
Male plug: Usually made of metal materials, such as copper, aluminum, etc., with good electrical conductivity and certain mechanical strength, but may be worn due to long-term insertion and extraction.

Female plug: The material is more diverse, including both metal materials and plastic materials, etc. The metal female plug also has good electrical conductivity, and the plastic female plug pays more attention to insulation performance and light weight. Due to the need to bear the insertion and extraction force of the male plug, the durability of the female plug is usually also relatively high.

IV. Appearance and size

Appearance: The male plug usually has a sharp head to facilitate insertion into the hole of the female plug; while the female plug has a circular hole or groove for accommodating the pin of the male plug.
Size: Generally speaking, the volume and size of the female plug will be slightly larger than that of the male plug to accommodate the insertion of the male plug and provide a stable connection. However, this is not absolute, and the specific size needs to be determined according to the actual application and the specification of the terminal wire.
